Ahhh, the Florida beaches. Soft sand between your toes. Great weather year-round. Palm trees everywhere you look and don’t forget about that crystal-clear water. What more could you ask? Well, you could ask which ones to hit first!

All of Florida’s beaches are pretty awesome. They’ve all got their own personality and their own special vibe. Some are great for sunsets, some are great for nature-lovers. Surfers and water lovers cannot be overlooked.

Miami Beach is world-famous, and thanks to that, it can be a bit crowded, but if you’re in the market for a complete package, Miami is for you! The seven gorgeous miles that make up Miami Beach is packed with action. South Beach has it’s Art Deco scene, and the trendy restaurants running parallel to the beach. The water is like something from an exotic beach dream, and the food and nightlife are just as dreamy. The water is warm, and the swimwear is hot, bring your coolest suit to Miami, and you’ll enjoy the heat.

For a change of coast and a change of pace, check out Florida’s Gulf Coast, specifically Clearwater Beach. Clearwater is an escape from the crowds and an entrance into Zen. Not far from the city-life of Tampa, Clearwater Beach is one of the best beaches on Florida’s Western Shore. Take a long walk on bright-white sand, or grab a floaty and just veg in the calm gulf waters. Don’t be fooled, there’s plenty to do in Clearwater. Check out the Clearwater Marine Aquarium (Famous, Winter the Dolphin lives here!) Drop in for Philadelphia Phillies spring training, or plan your trip around the annual Clearwater Jazz Festival. Whatever you do in Clearwater, you’ll find yourself feeling relaxed and refreshed. Be sure to take that cute matching cover-up, you’ll find there’s a lot to do, on and off, the beach in Clearwater!

Back on Florida’s Atlantic Shore, sits Cocoa Beach, just a hop-skip-and-a-jump from Cape Canaveral, which is how the area got the name “space coast”. Cocoa Beach is perfect for wave chasers. Known for its great parasailing and surfing, Cocoa makes a great trip for the family, or for the water fanatic. You can check out Kennedy Space Center, lots of local museums, or take the hour drive over to the theme park home-land of Orlando. Grab your tankini or sporty one-piece for this trip. The waves are gonna make you want to play all day.

Fear not nature lovers, you have not been overlooked! For you, we are heading up to Fort Desoto State Park, for one beautiful stretch-of-sand. Just south-west of St. Petersburg, this park is made up of five islands. (We call ‘em keys in Florida.) The keys total over 1,000 acres of white-sand wonders. Precious ecological zones, like mangrove swamps, loggerhead turtle nesting grounds, and home for more than 300 bird species, are all part of Desoto State Park. Check out the fishing piers, walking trails, cool picnic spots, and the historic fort, while you’re there. Take your sunhat, those cute sandals, sunnies, and matching beach bag, for this trip. There’s a lot of ground to cover and you’re not gonna want to miss a thing!
